Saint Mary Major, built on the Equilino Hill, is one of the main basilicas in Rome. In according to a legend, one of its bells is known as ''The Lost One'' (La Sperduta). In fact in the XVI century a young blind female shepherd got lost in the fields around that area and she found the way home because of the prodigious bell ring. In memory of this legend The Lost One rings every evening at nine)
